Warehouse Supervisor

New Era Education is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to join our Supply Chain team to manage and oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and distribution of educational supplies, equipment, and other materials necessary for the operation of our schools and subsidiaries. Maintain accurate inventory, enforce safety protocols, and ensure that our logistics operations meet the high standards expected at New Era Education.

Duties and Tasks:

  • Directly supervise teams of warehouse staff, ensuring clear communication, adequate training, and high levels of performance.
  • Schedule, delegate, and monitor daily tasks to maintain efficient warehouse operations.
  • Oversee receiving, storing, and shipping activities to maintain an organized and efficient warehouse.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Collaborate with procurement and school management teams to forecast and replenish inventory based on current and upcoming needs.
  • Implement and monitor warehouse related policies and procedures in accordance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure all assets moving in and out of the warehouse are updated in the Fixed Assets Register.
  • Oversee barcoding and labelling of assets to ensure proper identification and tracking.
  • Conduct regular fixed asset reconciliation to prevent discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper use and maintenance of warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and secure appropriate certifications as needed.
  • Train staff on the proper handling of fixed assets and warehouse materials to prevent damage and ensure efficiency.
  • Report and return any damaged or defective products or assets to vendors or relevant departments.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inventory and fixed assets in the warehouse.
  • Use ERP systems to track inventory and assets, ensuring transparency in movements.
  • Conduct routine inventory and asset audits to confirm accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline warehouse operations and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Serve as a liaison between the warehouse team and other departments, including school management and administrative teams, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Receive department requests (e.g., school administration, teachers, purchasing) and ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Resolve operational issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to service delivery.

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in warehouse operations.At least 3-5 years in a supervisory role managing warehouse staff.Experience in manufacturing industry or a related field is a Must.Familiarity with warehouse management software and best practices.Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in warehouse operations.
