1. Mechanical safety across the factory and supporting R&D & QC laboratories and admin officeareas.
2. Directing breakdown & planned preventative maintenance activities of existing MechanicalEquipment.
3. Supervision of Maintenance Fitters and Apprentices.
4. Supervision of Mechanical Contractors, as required.
5. Control and ordering of the Mechanical Spares required on site.
6. Preparation and Maintenance of Mechanical Installation design information, drawings and equipment inspection & test records.
7. Coordinate with production in-charges for any mechanical pending jobs
8. Implement department schedules to maximize both preventive and repair services, whileminimizing unnecessary overtime expenditures.
9. Maintains equipment and facilities in a condition that meet or exceeds Good ManufacturingPractices, Takween standards and regulatory standards.
10. Participate in cost-reduction measures to control expenses that impact the operating budget for repair, utility, and maintenance related supply accounts.
11. Must understand, comply and enforce all Takween Environmental, Safety and Health policies and applicable government Regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.)
12. Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and 5Sprotocol.
13. Direct and manage the activities and work of subordinates by setting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and motivating staff, and providing feedback and appraisal in order to maximize subordinate and departmental performance. |
• Minimum Diploma in engineering preferably industrial engineering, Mechanical• Must have at least 3-years’ experience in a supervisory role in manufacturing industry preferably onplastic machinery i.e. Extrusion, Blow molding, Thermoforming, Injection moldingIntimate operating knowledge of all available processing equipment and processes• Knowledge of Thermoforming production process and troubleshooting• Ability to motivate others to meet demands established by the schedule• Basic understanding of computers• Good oral and written communication skills• Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.• Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturingoperations, maintenance and engineering.• Good interpersonal communication and listening ability.• Ability to work with teams and lead decision-making processes in a team environment• A resident of Alexandria
