The Finishing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the final stages of construction projects. This role ensures that all finishing work, such as painting, flooring, trim, and final touches, is completed to the highest standards, within budget, and on time. The Construction Finishing Manager will collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other teams to ensure the work meets the client’s specifications and quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervision and Coordination: Manage and oversee all finishing activities on construction sites, including overseeing subcontractors and construction teams.
- Quality Control: Ensure all finishing work meets quality standards and adheres to project specifications, local codes, and safety regulations.
- Scheduling: Develop and maintain schedules for all finishing work, ensuring timely completion and minimal delays.
- Material Management: Coordinate the procurement and delivery of materials needed for finishing work, ensuring that all supplies are available on-site when needed.
- Client and Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders regarding the finishing phase of construction, providing regular updates on progress, issues, and changes.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Address any issues related to finishing work, resolving conflicts, delays, and challenges efficiently to avoid project disruptions.
- Budget Management: Monitor and manage budgets for the finishing phase of the project, ensuring that work is completed within financial constraints.
- Safety Management: Enforce strict adherence to safety standards and regulations throughout the finishing process.
- Final Inspection: Conduct detailed inspections to ensure all aspects of the finishing work are completed correctly, including ensuring any final touch-ups are performed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the finishing process, including project timelines, work completed, and any changes or challenges that arose.
Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering or related field.Proven experience as a Finishing Manager or similar role in construction.Strong knowledge of construction finishing materials, methods, and processes.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Strong project management, organizational, and leadership skills.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
