1. Design & Planning:
- Develop and review MEP system designs, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, international standards, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate MEP systems into building designs.
2. Installation & Supervision:
- Oversee the installation of mechanical (HVAC), electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Ensure all MEP work is executed as per project schedules and quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor progress and resolve technical issues.
3. Testing & Commissioning:
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning for MEP installations.
- Ensure proper functionality and safety compliance before handover.
- Prepare reports and documentation for completed systems.
4. Cost Estimation & Procurement:
- Assist in budgeting and cost estimation for MEP components.
- Review technical specifications and evaluate supplier/vendor proposals.
- Ensure timely procurement and delivery of MEP materials.
5. Compliance & Safety:
- Adhere to LEED, ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC, and local building codes.
- Implement safety measures to prevent hazards during installation and operation.
- Ensure energy-efficient and sustainable MEP designs.
6. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
- Support facility management teams in the maintenance and repair of MEP systems.
- Identify and resolve operational issues in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing networks.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades and energy efficiency improvements.
Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related engineering field.
minimum 5 years of experience in MEP design, installation, or project management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical distribution, fire protection, plumbing, and drainage systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, and ETAP.
- Familiarity with MEP codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, NEC, IPC).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and coordinate with multiple teams.
