Develop and direct shipments transportation metrics, identify trends across global transportation methods and practices, ensure that company needs are delivered on time in a cost effective manner and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations.
Accountabilities:
- Direct the life cycle of products, including preparation, shipping and receiving.
- Support with maintenance of logistics policies, procedures, support plans and similar data.
- Negotiate transport or logistics rates with suppliers and customers to improve the supply chain.
- Determine the most qualified forwarder based on the best offer and the trial shipments.
- Maintain good relationship with customs and handle customs clearance procedures for all international shipments.
- Communicate transport or logistics cost to customers or suppliers, evaluate and monitor the entire process of product movement.
- Track shipments across different channels.
- Manage standardization of transportation processes across the region.
- Monitor the outbound shipment process until the shipment is delivered to the Customer.
- Ensure Compliance with Quality Management Policy, Quality strandards, and government laws and regulations to ensure delivery meet the requirements.
- Maintain a good relationship & interaction with Customers and Suppliers, Maintain organization information confidential, Ensure Safe delivery of shipments and maintain a professional and tidy appearance of the organization.
Academic & professional qualifications: BA in business administration, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred. Procurement & logistics management diploma Preferable Experience: 5-7 years of experience in Purchase, Shipping and Customs. Experience in logistics or supply chain modeling & simulation Skills and Abilities: Dynamic, enthusiastic, and quick to take initiative. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks Advanced interpersonal, communication, negotiation skills. Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced changing environment Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership. Language Proficiency: Fluent English and Arabic Languages verbally and written.
