HSE Supervisor

• Develop and implement HSE programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement appropriate controls and preventive measures.
• Facilitate safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement.
• Lead the identification and assessment of workplace hazards, including physical, chemical, biological, and ergonomic risks.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and ensure the implementation of control measures to minimize risks and prevent accidents, injuries, and illnesses.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determining root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain incident records and provide reports to management for analysis and trend identification.
• Stay updated on applicable HSE regulations, standards, and codes of practice.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to health, safety, and environmental matters.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, participate in inspections, and respond to inquiries or notices of non-compliance.
• Develop and maintain HSE documentation, including permits, licenses, reports, and records.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and incident management.
• Conduct drills and exercises to test emergency response readiness and identify areas for improvement.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper communication and collaboration during emergencies.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on emergency response procedures.
• Conduct training sessions and toolbox talks to promote HSE awareness and develop a safety-oriented culture.
• Communicate HSE policies, procedures, and initiatives effectively to all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure HSE considerations are integrated into work processes and projects.
• Provide guidance and support to employees on HSE-related matters
• Develop and implement training programs for HSE inspectors to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Prepare reports, and present findings to the direct manager, highlighting areas for improvement and recommending corrective actions.
 


• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.• Proven experience in a HSE role within a glass processing or manufacturing environment.• Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies and incident investigation techniques.• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with his team or other employees at all levels.• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.• Ability to lead and motivate others in promoting a safety culture.• Proficient in using HSE-related software and tools.
