Role Overview:
The Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales, developing new business opportunities, and managing key client relationships in the food chemicals market. This role requires technical expertise, strong sales acumen, and excellent communication skills to engage with food manufacturers, R&D teams, and procurement professionals.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record in B2B sales of food-related chemicals, a deep understanding of food safety regulations, and the ability to negotiate and close high-value deals.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the food and beverage industry.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
- Promote and sell a specialized portfolio of food-grade chemicals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with decision-makers, including procurement managers, R&D teams, and production heads.
- Identify cross-selling opportunities within the company's broader chemical solutions portfolio.
- Provide technical support and tailored product recommendations to meet client needs.
- Conduct product presentations to demonstrate the benefits of our solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Address customer inquiries and provide timely, effective solutions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
- Ensure all sales practices comply with Egyptian and international food safety standards (ISO 22000, HACCP, FDA, EFSA).
- Work closely with R&D and production teams to drive innovation based on market demands.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets through a structured and proactive approach.
- Track sales performance, pipeline status, and market trends using CRM tools and reporting systems.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts and strategic reports to management.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.Minimum of five years of B2B sales experience in food industry chemicals.Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes and chemical applications in sectors such as dairy, bakery, beverages, meat processing, and confectionery.Familiarity with food safety regulations (ISO 22000, HACCP, EFSA, FDA) and their impact on chemical applications.Proven ability to close high-value deals and manage long-term client relationships.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.Willingness to travel across Egypt as required.
