We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager with a strong background in automotive plastics and polymer procurement to lead the strategic sourcing, cost negotiation, and supplier management for our Port Said facility. This role is critical to ensuring cost-effective and high-quality sourcing of plastic resins and polymers for our injection moulding production.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute purchasing strategies for plastic resins, polymers, and additives used in automotive injection moulding.
- Manage relationships with global suppliers of raw materials, ensuring competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliable delivery.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure material specifications meet automotive standards.
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards in line with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
- Analyze market trends, raw material price fluctuations, and global supply chain risks to optimize sourcing decisions.
- Negotiate long-term contracts and supply agreements to secure cost stability and material availability.
- Collaborate with logistics and inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and reduce working capital requirements.
- Ensure compliance with automotive industry regulations, including REACH, RoHS, and sustainability initiatives.
- Lead supplier development programs to improve performance, sustainability, and innovation.
- Utilize ERP and digital procurement tools (SAP, Business Central, or equivalent) to track purchasing performance and ensure transparency in cost management.
Qualifications & ExperienceDegree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in automotive procurement, with a strong focus on plastics, polymers, and injection moulding materials.Strong knowledge of commodity markets for plastic resins (e.g., PP, ABS, PC, PA, POM, TPU).Experience in automotive supplier negotiations and contract management.Deep understanding of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP).Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding processes and material selection.Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP, Business Central, or equivalent) for purchasing and cost tracking.Excellent negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier relationship management skills.
