Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing and overseeing various projects related to the design, fabrication, and installation of commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment. This includes coordinating with clients, and internal teams, to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Review project specifications and drawings to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the design team to ensure equipment designs meet project specifications and client needs.
  • Manage all aspects of project execution, from procurement and fabrication to installation and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (engineering, production, sales) (installers, electricians, plumbers) to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety regulations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Communicate project updates and address client concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and clients.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and progress reports.
  • Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in project engineering, preferably in the commercial kitchen or restaurant equipment industry.Previous experience is preferred in (MPE - Plumbing - HVAC)Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software.Excellent project management skills, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of relevant industry codes and regulations (e.g., NSF, UL).
