Job Purpose:
Responsible for overseeing and manage all ground operations in Cairo, ensuring smooth, efficient services for incoming clients. This role will act as a representative for the company at the airport, facilitating optional tour sales, managing transportation suppliers, and liaising with local guides. The Senior Operations Agent will also be responsible for ensuring all necessary reports are submitted to local authorities, including tourism police reports for each arrival. This role will serve as the foundation for the Ground Operations Department and has the potential for expanding into the company’s own transportation fleet in Cairo.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 1.Airport Representation:
    -Serve as the company’s key point of contact at Cairo’s airport, representing the company’s services and ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
    -Facilitate the sale of optional tours to clients on-site, providing detailed information about available options, schedules, and local attractions.
    -Offer exceptional customer service, assisting with any travel-related queries or issues upon arrival.
  • 2.Operational Management:
    -Oversee and manage local transportation suppliers, ensuring timely and reliable services for client transfers.
    -Coordinate with local guides to ensure high-quality, informative experiences for clients.
    -Ensure smooth handling of all on-ground services, including transfers, sightseeing, and other tour-related activities.
  • 3.Reporting & Compliance:
    -Prepare and submit all required reports to relevant authorities, such as tourism police reports, for each arrival.
    -Ensure all operations adhere to local regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
    -Assist with the documentation and reporting for any incidents or issues that may arise during the clients’ stay.
  • 4.Fleet Management (Future Expansion):
    -Play a key role in developing the company’s own transportation fleet in Cairo, ensuring vehicles are appropriately maintained, drivers are well-trained, and services meet high standards of customer satisfaction.
    -Help build operational protocols and guidelines for fleet management and the transportation department.
  • 5.Supplier and Partner Relations:
    -Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers, including transportation providers, guides, and service vendors.
    -Negotiate rates, services, and terms with local suppliers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients and the business.
  • 6.Client Engagement:
    -Communicate directly with clients to ensure their expectations are met, providing personalized service and addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
    -Assist in ensuring client safety and comfort during their stay in Cairo, providing them with local insights and support.
  • 7.Operational Support & Team Collaboration:
    -Provide operational support to the team in Cairo, ensuring efficient coordination of services.
    -Work closely with the team in the Head Office to ensure all client requirements are met and operations are aligned with company standards.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive approach to addressing operational challenges.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with clients and suppliers effectively.A passion for travel and tourism, with a deep understanding of local culture and destinations.Education:Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Tourism Management, or a related field is preferred.Experience:Minimum of 5 years of experience in the travel or tourism industry, with at least 3 years in an operational role.Previous experience in airport operations, ground services, or customer-facing roles is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to manage suppliers, handle reporting, and ensure smooth operational execution.Skills:Strong knowledge of local suppliers, tourism regulations, and the operational logistics involved in ground services.Excellent knowledge of MS Microsoft office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) Fluency in English and Arabic (both spoken and written) is mandatory.Knowledge of GDS systems and travel management software is a plus.
