- Supervise, Plan the assigned daily work in the unit and direct the chemists to achieve the planned tasks
- Establish schedules and methods for providing laboratory analysis and quality assurance program
- Participate in the development of policies and procedures, monitor work activities to ensure
- compliance with established policies and procedures
- Make recommendations for changes and Improvements to existing standards and procedures
- Recommend and assist in the implementation of goals and objectives; implement approvedPolicies and procedures
- Perform the more technical and complex tasks of the work unit including ensuring compliance with governmental regulations and maintaining laboratory practices with accreditations’ standards
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual compliance and other technical reports and maintain custody of records
- Provide lab training to the new staff and orient the colleagues with the proper lab methods, procedures, and techniques
- Prepare analytical and statistical reports on operations and activities
- TECHNICAL PRACTICES AND TASKS:
- Audit on Operating Lab. Machines with professional operating practices and ensure daily maintenance of machines and equipment
- Review Load patient’s specimens and the correct reagent with the accurate quantity to ensure results’ accuracy
- Ensure preparing and running of QC processes to detect, reduce, and correct deficiencies in laboratory's internal analytical process prior to the release of patient results
- Ensure good archiving and documentation of the daily QC results and maintenance files
- Review writing and recording the results of manually performed tests
Qualifications & Requirements Educational Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from a reputable universityMSC degree in chemistry Experience Requirements:“6-8” as Laboratory Chemist from a reputable health care facility.Knowledge, Skills and Attitude:With broad knowledge in theories and practices of specialization included but not limited to rules and regulations governing Laboratory management. Expertise in good dealing with clients and colleagues.Must have integrity, initiative, evidence of good health and grooming, good moral character and right conduct, strong and pleasing personality.
