Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation: Prepare and analyze cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses.
- Quantity Takeoff: Measure and quantify materials, labor, and resources required for construction.
- Contract Management: Assist in the preparation of contracts, tender documents, and agreements with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets and control costs to ensure projects are delivered within financial constraints.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and submit monthly progress reports, cost reports, and payment certificates.
- Change Management: Assess and manage variations and changes in project scope, cost, or design.
- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to ensure work aligns with the cost estimation and quality standards.
- Risk Management: Identify financial risks and propose solutions to mitigate cost overruns.
Education:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Experience:Proven experience (usually 5-8 years) in construction cost management or quantity surveying, ideally within the construction or engineering industry.Skills:Strong knowledge of construction methods, contracts, and tendering processes.Proficiency in cost estimating software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar tools).Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and reporting.Strong communication and negotiation skills.Technical Competencies:Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standard construction practices.Ability to analyze and interpret project drawings and specifications.
