Job Description
The Foreign Purchasing Specialist will manage purchasing processes for raw materials, packaging, and spare parts, focusing on beverage products such as Performance and Taps. Key responsibilities include:
Vendor Management:
Contact vendors for pricing, availability, and quality issues.
Arrange and conduct meetings with vendors to discuss requirements.
Collaborate with production managers to determine purchasing needs.
Purchasing Activities:
Conduct research to identify potential vendors.
Create and obtain signatures for purchase orders from production managers.
Assist in preparing bidding documents and ensuring proper documentation.
Initiate contact with vendors for document availability.
Logistics and Quality Control:
Ensure timely delivery of materials to production.
Verify the quality and quantity of shipments.
Monitor purchase requisitions and adjust with vendors as needed.
Process proof of delivery requests.
Inventory and Financial Management:
Handle limited inventory management tasks.
Liaise with the accounting department for invoice and purchase order reconciliation.
Create reseller agreements and maintain ETAs for open orders.
Evaluate formal bids and recommend contract awards.
Research pricing information and compare quotes.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3 years in FMCG & Food Beverages industry preferred.
Skills:
Management and purchasing skills.
Strong analytical abilities.
Experience in international procurement is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
