Company Description

We are a company working in the food industry and specializing in manufacturing and sorting agricultural crops.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Factory Manager in the food industry. The Factory Manager will be responsible for production planning, quality control, production management, operations management, and manufacturing operations daily.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations in food production and catering, ensuring smooth processes and meeting production targets
  • Ensure that the production will be cost-effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing on budgets with managers.
  • monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes.
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, packaging, and delivery operations to ensure the highest quality and efficiency
  • Monitor production schedules and inventory to prevent shortages or overstocking
  • Ensure all food production adheres to safety, hygiene, and quality standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of food safety and quality procedures, implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for food safety, production, and catering services
  • Schedule and manage staffing levels to meet operational demands
  • Monitor production costs, identify areas for cost reduction, and implement strategies for cost efficiency
  • Oversee procurement of ingredients and supplies, negotiating with suppliers for best pricing without compromising quality
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners in the catering sector
  • Oversee the transportation and logistics of catering orders, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries
  • Optimize the storage, handling, and distribution of food products
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality, reduce waste, and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and food safety laws, including employee training on food handling and safety standards
  • Ensure kitchen and production areas are safe, clean, and organized to prevent accidents or health hazards


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Agriculture, or related field.
  • 5+ years at a managerial level, in the same industry
  • Previous experience in the food industry is a Must
  • Production Planning and Manufacturing Operations skills
  • Quality Control and Operations Management skills
  • Experience in production management
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations

- Typically Saturday to Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility for overtime during peak seasons.
