Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, manage a team of accounting professionals, and collaborate with other departments to maintain efficient financial processes. Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow reports).
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS) and local regulations.
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts and preparing necessary documentation.
Accounts Payable & Receivable Management
- Supervise and review invoicing, billing, and collections activities to ensure timely payments.
- Monitor vendor relationships, negotiate payment terms, and ensure proper expense recording.
- Oversee credit control processes and maintain accurate AR/AP records.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track and analyze variances between actual results and budgets/forecasts, providing insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to strategic planning by identifying financial risks, opportunities, and cost-saving measures.
Cash Flow Management
- Monitor daily cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity and operational stability.
- Proactively identify and address potential shortfalls or surpluses, making recommendations to management.
- Optimize working capital through efficient management of receivables, payables, and inventory (if applicable).
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Oversee and ensure timely submission of payroll tax and VAT tax returns, maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in tax laws and advise management on potential impacts.
- Collaborate with external tax advisors or authorities as needed.
Cost Control & Analysis
- Identify, implement, and monitor cost-control measures to optimize the company’s cost structure.
- Analyze cost variances and collaborate with departmental managers to address inefficiencies.
- Conduct regular cost analysis reports, proposing ways to reduce expenditures and improve profitability.
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team, providing training and guidance on best practices.
- Set individual and team performance goals, conducting regular reviews to ensure professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, encouraging continuous improvement and innovation.
Systems & Process Optimization
- Evaluate and implement accounting software or tools that improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Streamline existing processes, documenting policies and procedures for clarity and consistency.
- Ensure data integrity and implement internal controls to safeguard financial information.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with operations, sales, and other departments to align financial objectives with overall business goals.
- Provide guidance on cost analysis, pricing strategies, and financial implications of business decisions.
- Communicate key financial metrics and insights to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
