- Reviews, improves and maintains company’s quality control function and ensures employing standard methods of tests and analysis and following proper sampling plans for the inspection of incoming materials and finished products.
- Reviews, improves and maintains company’s food safety management system and HACCP plans and ensure proper implementation of all controls.
- Ensures proper implementation of the quality control and assurance protocols pertaining incoming materials and suppliers’ compliance.
- Develops the expertise of quality team through proper coaching, training and counselling to ensure good performance standards and full adherence to policies, procedures and instructions.
- Establishes competency matrices and training plans for quality team and conducts periodical appraisal of their performance.
- Leads and organizes internal audits to ensure compliance to all applicable regulatory and standards such as NFSA, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, BRCGS, ISO 45001…etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, Food Technology, or related field. Advanced degree is preferred. - Minimum 05 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control roles within the food manufacturing industry; preferably in crisps and snacks manufacturing, and at least 03 years in similar position.- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.- Sound proficiency in using mathematical and statistical techniques - Excellent interpersonal skills and coaching capabilities. - Proficient in using Microsoft office applications.
