Chief Inventory Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as needed.
  • Maintain and update records of purchase orders, pricing reports, and inventory records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to inventory management and stock control
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stock
  • Developing and implementing inventory control systems and practices.
  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
  • Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking and out-of-stock (OOS).
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports, review reports monthly with management
  • Conduct regular stock counts, cycle counts, and audits to verify the accuracy of inventory records.
  • Identify and report discrepancies between physical stock and system records, investigating and resolving any issues.
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis templates as requested


Qualifications

  • Knowledge of MS Office and ERP system
  • Understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Excellent command of English verbal and written
  • 5+ years of solid experience in managing Inventory
