Seoudi Supermarket is seeking an experienced E-commerce Growth Lead who combines strong commercial acumen with digital expertise. This role will collaborate with cross-functional retail teams to drive digital growth initiatives, focusing on increasing basket value, optimizing category performance, and enhancing the online customer experience through data-driven decisions using GA4 and Google Search Console.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive e-commerce growth while working closely with procurement, marketing, and operations teams. You will analyze category performance, optimize digital merchandising, and implement data-driven initiatives to improve customer experience and business results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute category strategies in collaboration with procurement and retail teams, ensuring alignment between online and offline performance metrics. Analyze product performance data to identify growth opportunities and optimize category mix based on customer behavior and market trends.
- Work closely with the procurement team to create and implement effective promotional strategies that drive basket size growth. Design and monitor bulk-buy offers and product bundles, ensuring they align with overall commercial objectives and customer preferences.
- Utilize GA4 and Google Search Console to track and analyze key performance metrics, creating actionable insights for business growth. Maintain comprehensive performance dashboards and provide regular reports with strategic recommendations to stakeholders across the organization.
- Enhance product discovery and searchability within the current platform capabilities, ensuring accurate product information and categorization. Implement basic personalization strategies based on available data and optimize the product substitution process to maintain customer satisfaction when items are out of stock.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns in coordination with procurement and marketing teams, ensuring promotional stock availability and monitoring performance metrics. Focus on driving conversion rates and customer retention through data-driven campaign optimization.
- Collaborate with procurement and operations teams to optimize inventory levels for online sales, developing effective substitution rules and recommendations. Monitor and improve substitution acceptance rates while working to reduce cart abandonment due to out-of-stock situations.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives, maintaining clear communication channels and alignment on objectives across departments. Facilitate regular meetings to share insights and coordinate promotional activities.
- Bachelor's degree in business, Commerce, or related field- 3+ years of experience in retail category management or commercial buying- 2+ years of experience in e-commerce or digital retail- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in GA4 and data analysis tools- Experience in working with diverse retail teams and processes- Proven track record in improving category performance and commercial metrics Preferred- Experience in grocery retail or FMCG- Knowledge of digital merchandising and e-commerce best practices- Understanding of inventory management systems- Experience in retail transformation and process improvement
