Geocycle started operating in Egypt in 2011, handling various types of waste such as, production waste, industrial waste, expired finished goods, production rejects and chemicals, to name a few. In alignment with the Egyptian ecological regulations and sustainable development goals, to eliminate the current negative practices such as landfill and incineration.

Overview

  • Manages sales of the company’s products and services within and outside Egypt (Waste Management and AF Products) with full commitment to the Company’s Budget targets.
  • Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, management and development of sales personnel.
  • Identifies objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
  • Develop and Manage the Company’s Brand and ensure growth and contribution to the company’s results.
  • Develop and manage the company’s stakeholders and ensure effective communication and PR strategies implementation by cooperating/challenging the stakeholders internally.
  • Designing and implementing a strategic sales plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Managing recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure it’s strong presence
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status

Responsibilities:

1-Health & Safety:

  • Adhere to and enforce relevant legislation and policies and ensure that the highest degree of safety and safe working practices are maintained.

2-Functional:

  • Sales Operations:
  • Determine annual and gross-profit plans by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for each waste stream; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new solutions; analyzing trends and results; establishing pricing strategies; recommending selling prices; monitoring costs, competition, supply, and demand.
  • Responsible for developing and sustaining Market Watch and Benchmarking reports and preparing and submittal of the monthly financial and operational report to Geocycle Egypt Central Team,
  • Follow up with Geocycle Egypt Operations Manager and Sokhna Plant team on the Waste Co-processing execution and facilitate any potential constraints
  • Manage the day to day work of the Sales and Marketing Personnel and delegate activities appropriate and actively encourage the development of the team
  • Undertake market research and analysis and producing business plans/recommendations (including all associated cost and forecasted revenue for the business) to ensure that all business opportunities (new products, services and market segments) are optimized

Marketing and Branding:

  • As a part of the management team, the Sales Manager has a crucial role and works shoulder to shoulder with the Marketing and business development managers Where he/she is required to participate effectively in.
  • Work closely with the Company’s General Manager and the marketing and comms manager to develop and implement the company’s future position in the market and participate in defining Geocycle Egypt’s future objectives.
  • Develop Waste Management Solutions and National Context (Global Waste Management, Co-processing Disposal, etc) to potential Industrial Customers and coordinate with Operations and Supply Chain functions to develop Value-added business solutions to customers to ensure market leadership,
  • Plan and implement regular “Branded Assets’” audits on all Geocycle Egypt’s locations and vehicles to check and identify and address problems areas, measure the contribution to grow the business bottom line, and protect the brand equity.
  • Responsible for Brand development to ensure products and services segmentation and correct pricing
  • Develop, manage and execute communications strategies across the entire spectrum of communication disciplines including: media and public relations, internal communications, brand marketing, advertising, marketing, new media and production of materials
  • Responsible for Planning and Executing Company Business Events (Conferences, Exhibitions, Technical Seminars, Road shows) to promote the company’s activities and brand image.
  • Develop, Produce and communicate Geocycle Egypt’s Performance Reports, Best Practices and Documentaries.

Customer Service and Sales Administration:

  • Maintain optimal level of customer services for all industrial sales activities and ensure adherence to all industry standard and maintain accuracy of all bills,
  • Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities and performing periodic customer surveys and analyze and report information and propose related actions,
  • Recommending credit conditions and rebates for each account, follow up with Accounts Receivables departments on trade receivables’ collection and categorize customers according to business size and credit payment performance of invoices
  • Prepare Services and Products Supply Contract in coordination with Geocycle Egypt Supply Chain Department and Country Legal Department

CSR and Public Relations:

Offer to company management the opportunities that reflect positively on the growth of the company.

  • Propose and Execute CSR Projects and associated budgets with different Stakeholders (Clients and other stakeholders) to maintain strong ties and high perception of Geocycle Egypt,
  • Represent Geocycle Egypt with Key Stakeholders (Ministries, Governorates, Embassies, etc) and ensure regular communications to concerned stakeholders.
  • Selling partnerships in CSR projects (Geocycle Execute/ Clients pays model).

Services and Material Souring

  • Lead the implementation of sourcing strategies and projects by liaising and collaborating with different departments.
  • Ensure that legal is involved in interpreting and drafting risks and providing guidance on contractual decisions.
  • Ensure that competitive terms are monitored.
  • Develop, implement and monitor the process of sourcing, evaluating, selection and contracting of suppliers.
  • Manage the supplier database ensuring accurate supplier data and records and acting as the primary contact with external suppliers.
  • Develop strategies for supplier development, draw up budget, process and procedure and align these with the strategic business goals. Evaluate supplier performance and ensure suppliers comply with business updates and requirements.

Budget and cost management:

  • Full responsibility of annual budget setting in accordance to Geocycle Egypt business growth plans
  • Track quantifiable financial benefits and ensure a positive impact to the bottom line.
  • Monitor and control the procurement expenditure/cost against the budget.
  • Monitor the procurement spends, and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
  • Ensure that the monthly closing related activities are efficiently, accurately, timely are properly done.
  • Prepare and reviewing MTP, Annual budget, Quarterly/Monthly rolling forecast covering the areas of sourcing, logistics, sales to LCE, sales to third party, major business updates
  • Define the pricing architecture for the thermal treatment service based on the waste materials quality and full treatment cost.
  • Lead the weekly credit committee meeting in coordination with the credit committee team ensures that Geocycle Egypt credit policy is properly implemented and maintained to mitigate any exposure to any financial risk with third party.
  • Ensure a positive cash position by managing the cash flow cycle (Payables VS Receivables).
  • Follow up on the cash collection process, direct interaction whenever needed.

Logistics operations

  • Ensure that all Geocycle Egypt logistics activities are 100% complying with H&S standards.
  • Oversee the distribution and transportation of Geocycle Egypt products and services to LCE/third party in the most cost effective way.
  • Contribute to creating and implementing of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures
  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, and customers.
  • Deliver solutions to logistics challenges while maintaining high levels of safety, quality of services within budget
  • Optimize material transportation tools to ensure the highest economic performance and customer satisfaction level.
  • Assess appropriate material handling equipment needs and staffing levels to load, unload, move, or store materials.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities.
  • Develop logistics solutions to third party (industrial customers) to maximize the customer satisfaction level as well as expanding Geocycle Egypt revenues portfolio.

Qualifications

Education and Work Experience:

Education:

  • BSc. Industrial Engineering or Business Administration or relevant degree.

Skills:

  • Demonstrated competencies and physical, mental, & interpersonal skills.
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant products and standards.
  • Good understanding of the Waste Management Industry.
  • Excellent written and oral skills, and must possess excellent presentation and hands-on demonstration skills suitable for both large and small audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results focused and be able to work in a dynamic environment in which they will often be called upon to communicate with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Must be able to motivate and encourage others.
  • Very Good English Language and Business Writing Skills.
  • Very Good Computer Skills: MS Office/ SAP.

Experience

  • 10 years of experience in Sales, Business Development and Marketing
