DHL Global Forwarding has an opening for RTR General Ledger accountant in Egypt. In this specific position you be responsible Administer Accounting and General Ledger (GL) processes and activities to prepare financial statements in line with GL plans and policies, accounting principles, regulations and compliance requirements

RTR General Ledger accountant
- Administer Accounting and General Ledger (GL) processes and activities as per defined guidelines and processes
- Deliver typically repetitive Accounting / GL activities such as data processing and validation, running reports, etc.
- Conduct Accounting / GL related activities that are routine in nature, maybe requiring background research sometimes (mainly applicable for Corporate roles)
- Understand financial accounting processes, methods and tools including metrics, standards and policies
- Prepare and process accruals and provisions, review VAT reporting and perform Statutory Reporting activities
- Adhere to required standards, terms and procedures in service delivery
- Perform Accounting activities with a focus on delivery of own service to required accounting standards and targets
- Prepare (and consolidate) P&L and balance sheet analysis for financial reporting
- Collect and compile simple financial information and assist senior accountants to prepare accurate and timely financial reports and accounting statements
- Follow established procedures and guidelines to accurately maintain financial records and transactions
- Complete assigned daily ledger entries and other financial transactions in accordance with accounting principles so that the General Ledger is accurate and up to date
- Identify and highlight recurring issues, and implement process improvements

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.
- 2 years of experience within the same field.
