- Perform regular safety checks in the factory to find potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company safety standards.
- Investigate accidents and near-miss incidents, preparing reports and recommending corrective actions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety programs and protocols.
- Ensure employees are using safety equipment and protective gear correctly.
- Support safety training and awareness programs for staff.
- Report safety issues and concerns to the Safety Manager and provide suggestions for improvement.
- Keep up to date with the latest safety regulations and best practices.
BSc in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Proven experience (2-4 years) in a safety inspector role, preferably in a pulses, grains manufacturing, or food processing environment.Knowledge of local safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) and safety management systems.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to identify and address safety hazards promptly.Proficiency in safety inspection tools and equipment.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
