Senior Accountant - Hotels Sector
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Sky Restaurants Company. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting and finance, with specific experience in the hotel industry. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in financial analysis, reporting and providing guidance to junior accounting staff within the hotel division.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the hotel division, including financial transactions, comparisons and reporting.
Prepare and analyse financial statements, budgets and forecasts specific to the hotel industry.
Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations and internal controls relevant to the hotel industry.
Review and approve daily entries, general ledger comparisons and financial reports related to the hotel division.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff within the hotel division, assisting with complex accounting issues and resolving problems.
Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations and Sales, to provide financial analysis and recommendations to improve financial performance within the company.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with hotel industry tax regulations.
Conduct regular audits to identify risks and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the hotel division.
Staying up to date with accounting standards, industry trends and best practices specific to the hotel industry.
Support the Finance Manager in financial planning, budgeting and special projects within the hotel department.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
3-5 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the hotel industry.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations and financial reporting standards specific to the hotel industry.
Experience with hotel accounting software highly desirable.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software such as Opera and Sun.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
CPA or related professional certification is a plus
Education: University degree (Accounting major).

Experience : From 8 – 12 years of experience in food industries (FMCG & FB is a Must).

Computer skills: Excellent user of Microsoft (especially Excel & PowerPoint).

ERP Sun System Exp is a Must.
