Key Responsibilities:
PMO Strategy and Operations:
- Develop and implement the PMO's framework, processes, and tools to standardize project management practices.
- Ensure alignment of project goals with organizational objectives.
- Provide strategic guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
Project Portfolio Management:
- Oversee the portfolio of projects to ensure they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Prioritize projects based on business needs and resource availability.
- Monitor project performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
Governance and Compliance:
- Establish project governance standards, templates, and documentation practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company policies, and legal requirements.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with department heads to allocate resources efficiently across projects.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend training or hiring needs.
Risk and Issue Management:
- Develop risk management strategies and ensure risks and issues are properly documented and mitigated.
- Escalate critical risks or issues to leadership as necessary.
Performance Measurement:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for project success.
- Conduct post-project reviews and document lessons learned to refine future practices.
Proven work experience as an Assistant Project Manager or similar roleProficiency in Microsoft Office and project management softwareHighly organized and able to multitask and oversee several projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenA high school diploma or equivalent is requiredRelevant training and/or certifications as an Assistant Project Manager
