The Department Manager should control and monitor the purchasing of local materials (automotive material, Maintenance spare parts, tools, Consumables) cooperating with internal automotive departments especially localization and planning team and externally like finance, local suppliers, after service and warranty. Secure the needed resources to ensure that the company is supplied with the required items in a proper time, good conditions and reasonable prices that to keep running production line achieving production plan.

• Manage with finance all financial problems that supplier face in order to maintain the supply of material smoothly to production lines.
• Manage the acquisition process for plants goods in compliance with contractual conditions by suppliers.
• Approve contracts and purchase orders on Oracle system.
• Manage the purchase committee for all local supplier whether renewing contracts or new models and take decisions in supplier’s dealings.
• Manage searching for alternative suppliers for maintenance spare parts and consumables.
• Negotiate & analyze materials, spare parts, consumables prices with local suppliers to obtain the best prices
• Contribute and develop all policies & procedures related to local purchasing department.
• Manage with local supplier the forecast plan sent from Planning and release any obstacles with local suppliers to achieve this forecast plan.
• Motivate, organize and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• Organize the recruitment and training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.
