- Setting quality control measures and goals: Establish a comprehensive quality control system covering all operations, from raw materials receipt to delivery of the final product to the customer.
- Designing quality models: Conduct sufficient studies on different production stages and design quality-related models according to the latest global standards.
- Updating models: Participate in updating all quality control process models across departments.
- Technical support: Provide technical support in preparing the operational plan for the Quality Control department.
- Coordination with departments: Work with technical departments to set technical specifications for all raw materials, inputs, and final products.
- Coordinating maintenance schedules: Collaborate with the maintenance manager to set preventive maintenance schedules and report any defects or issues in products caused by any machinery or equipment.
- Monitoring raw material consumption: Establish procedures to track raw material consumption rates, analyze deviations, and coordinate with stores for continuous improvement planning.
- Implementing technical instructions: Oversee the application of technical instructions issued by regulatory bodies regarding quality control standards.
- Approving return procedures: Approve procedures for inspecting returns from all dealing parties and analyze reasons for returns to take corrective actions and integrate them with inspection procedures.
- Setting review policies: Develop review policies for production steps and oversee food safety and quality standards in operations.
- Research and development: Contribute to finding solutions for production and quality issues to achieve fast and optimal solutions.
- Resource preservation: Ensure high quality is achieved at the lowest cost, preserving the company's resources.
- Breaking down objectives: Divide the department's main goals into executable plans for each specialty (raw materials, production stages, finished product, maintenance) in collaboration with subordinates and make the necessary organizational decisions.
- Setting technical specifications: Define standard technical specifications and quality standards for the raw materials used in production, as well as for all inputs and outputs across different production stages.
- Collaboration with Marketing and Sales: Participate in setting quality standards for the final product by gathering customer feedback and continuously updating standards.
- Setting quality metrics: Establish quality standards and goals across all plant operations and monitor production performance accordingly.
- Ensuring adherence to standards: Ensure that all production departments and their sections comply with quality standards required during operations, manufacturing steps, and food safety regulations.
- Supervising regular reports: Oversee the efficiency of periodic reports issued by various quality control departments within the plants.
- Following up on non-conformity cases: Supervise the tracking of non-compliance cases and ensure corrective actions are taken as per procedures and recorded in the corrective actions log.
- Coordinating R&D studies: Supervise research and studies related to quality improvement, in coordination with R&D, to reduce raw material and spare part consumption.
- Reviewing reports: Review daily, monthly, and annual reports prepared by subordinates and draft reports on operational problems, obstacles, proposed preventive measures, tasks completed, and pending items along with reasons for delays, for the COO.
- Annual performance evaluation: Conduct annual performance evaluations for subordinates, review staff performance, ensure their training and goal achievement, take disciplinary actions as necessary, and recommend salary, bonus, and promotion adjustments based on performance.
- Executing newly assigned tasks: Execute any new or related tasks assigned directly to the role.
- Compliance with ISO procedures: Adhere to procedures related to the Quality Assurance System (ISO) and apply all models and procedures associated with this role, along with preparing required reports.
