Purchasing Manager (for El salam University )

  1. Plan and develop policies necessary for the purchase.
  2. Participate in formulating Department’s KPIs, and do the needful to achieve them.
  3. Participate in developing purchasing procedures, and lead the team to implement them. 
  4. Preparing the estimated budget for purchases.
  5. Study and research to raise the level of performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the procurement process.
  6. Supervise the processing and conclusion of contracts and follow up the orders of supply until they reach the warehouse.
  7. Register and consolidate the relationship with suppliers and contractors and search for new suppliers and contractors to provide more than one offer. 
  8. Manage Supplier Evaluation processes effectively, and taking the necessary action.
  9. Review and submit periodic reports on the department’s performance.

University degree in Business Administration, Engineering or related field.MBA is preferrable. 10 years of experience (min.) in the same field (4 of them as procurement manager).Previous experience at a university or an educational institute is preferrable. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office package. Experience in using (ERP) software is mandatory. High interpersonal skills, including negotiation and communication skills. High degree of responsibility and decision-making ability.Very good at reading, writing and speaking English.
