Mechanical site (Test & Balance ) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise, manage, and oversee the mechanical site activities for ongoing construction and MEP projects.
  • Perform Test and Balance (TAB) procedures for HVAC systems, including air and water balancing, airflow measurements, and system performance tests.
  • Ensure that all mechanical work is completed according to design specifications, standards, and codes.
  • Prepare detailed reports on system performance and test results, and provide recommendations for improvements.
  • Work closely with contractors, subcontractors, and project teams to coordinate and schedule all site activities.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the quality of mechanical installations and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to junior engineers and site personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the job site.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer, with a focus on Test and Balance.
  • Hands-on experience with HVAC systems, air and water balancing, and performance testing.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical system installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and best practices for mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, etc.) is a plus.
  • Certification in Test and Balance (e.g., NEBB or AABC) is preferred but not mandatory.
