Sourcing and Procurement:
- Identify, evaluate, and source spare parts suppliers, both locally and internationally, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve favorable pricing and delivery terms.
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely parts procurement, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal stock levels.
Inventory Management:
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to maintain an adequate supply of spare parts, balancing cost control with operational needs.
- Track parts usage trends to forecast demand and anticipate reordering needs, reducing the risk of shortages or excess inventory.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all procured spare parts meet company standards and specifications by performing quality checks and collaborating with technical teams.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control department to address any non-conformance issues and ensure all parts meet operational standards.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Handle all procurement documentation, including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain a detailed database of parts and suppliers, keeping records up-to-date for audit and reference purposes.
- Ensure all imports comply with local regulations, including any necessary documentation for customs clearance.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with the maintenance and engineering teams to understand specific part requirements, urgent needs, and maintenance schedules.
- Collaborate with finance and logistics departments to ensure proper budget allocation, timely payments, and smooth import/export operations.
Cost Management:
- Regularly analyze spending on spare parts to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
- Evaluate supplier performance, seeking ways to optimize cost efficiency while maintaining quality and reliability.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in procurement, particularly in spare parts for manufacturing or industrial environments.Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with spare parts specifications, inventory management, and procurement practices. Knowledge of SAP or ERP systems is a plus.Negotiation and Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze demand, manage costs, and forecast inventory needs.Language Skills: Proficiency in English, especially for dealing with international suppliers.Attention to Detail: High accuracy in documentation and order management.Problem-solving: Ability to resolve issues related to delayed shipments, quality concerns, and inventory discrepancies.
