- Able to perform full distribution system design including Low & Medium Tension Networks, Emergency and Critical Load calculations studies, A/C loads, Switch gears, Transformers, Emergency generator and U.P.S, Sub_ stations, Power fixtures, Sizing and routes of cables/conduits/cable trays, Short circuit, Voltage drop, Grounding & Lightning protection systems, Indoor-Outdoor Lighting fixtures, Landscape and Façade lighting, Lighting programs.
- Design of Low Current systems (Fire alarm Systems, IPCCTV, MATV, IPTV, IP Access control & Security, Public address, Sound system, Clock system, Telephone system, BMS system).
- Developing Electrical Design Deliverables – Single Line Diagram’s, Cable Schedules, Motor & Instrumentation Schedules, P&ID’s etc.
- Familiar with electrical standards/codes: SBC - IEC - BS - NFPA - NEC - IES - SASO
- Familiar with Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) rules and requirements
- Good aware of mechanical design: HVAC – Fire Fighting – Plumbing
- Prepare electric power system studies (load flow, short-circuit, motor starting, etc.) using ETAP and other equivalent software
- Prepare equipment specifications (i.e., large power transformers, breakers, voltage regulators, switchgears, surge arresters, etc.) ensuring compliance with project specifications and relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Prepare equipment list and BOQs (MV&LV switchgear, transformers, cables…etc.)
- Prepare control & protection cables schedule and related BOQs
The candidate will be expected to work across numerous software platforms, including Revit, AMTECH, DIALUX and ETAP
