- Collaborate with product designers to translate concepts into manufacturable furniture products. Utilize CAD software to create detailed designs and specifications.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Oversee the production process from start to finish, ensuring that production schedules are met. Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all products meet company standards and customer expectations. Conduct regular inspections and audits of production processes.
- Work with suppliers to source appropriate materials for furniture production. Evaluate material performance and recommend alternatives when necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support to production staff. Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure that all manufacturing processes comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Promote a culture of safety within the production team.
- Maintain accurate records of production processes, quality checks, and materials used. Prepare reports on production performance and improvement initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Arts, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Furniture Design, or a related field.5 to 7 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a similar industry.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality control methods.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
