Tooling Engineer

Overview:


We are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer to join our automotive manufacturing facility in 10th of Ramadan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of tooling used in the production of filter components and production tools & equipment. This role is critical to ensuring the precision, quality, and efficiency of our manufacturing processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop tools, dies, and fixtures used in the manufacturing process.
  • Lead the tooling design and modification process to meet production goals and optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure tooling meets manufacturing requirements and quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues, working closely with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
  • Oversee tooling trials, ensuring proper function and performance before full-scale production.
  • Continuously assess tooling designs to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and extend tool life.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of tooling designs, changes, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during tooling operations.
  • Manage relationships with external tooling suppliers and contractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tooling Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in tooling design and engineering within an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in CAD software for tooling design (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with tooling for high-volume production processes, especially in the automotive industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve tooling issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to tooling and manufacturing processes.
