The Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and other civil engineering works. This role involves managing project resources, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project delivery.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, and budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and client requirements.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage project teams, providing direction and support to engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders involved in the project.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges related to the project and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all project work complies with applicable standards, regulations, and specifications, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Budget Management: Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-saving measures while maintaining quality and safety standards.
- Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence, ensuring all records are accurate and accessible.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including engineering, procurement, and finance, to ensure effective coordination of project activities.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 10years of experience in project management, specifically in infrastructure development.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
