The QA/QC Engineer Inspector for Mechanical Work is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical installations, repairs, and maintenance comply with established quality standards and specifications. This role involves conducting inspections, testing materials, and reviewing project documentation to guarantee the quality of mechanical systems in construction and maintenance projects.

Quality Control Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of mechanical systems, components, and installations to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards.

Documentation Review: Review and verify all relevant project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and quality assurance plans.

Testing and Verification: Perform necessary testing (e.g., pressure testing, leak testing) on mechanical systems to confirm functionality and safety.

Non-Conformance Management: Identify non-conformities and issues, documenting findings and coordinating corrective actions with project teams.

Reporting: Prepare detailed inspection reports, documenting findings, and communicating results to project managers and relevant stakeholders.

Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all mechanical work meets local and international standards, including safety and environmental regulations.

Training and Guidance: Provide guidance and training to site personnel on quality control procedures and standards to enhance overall project quality.

Collaboration: Work closely with project engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure effective quality control measures are implemented.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
  • Familiarity with quality control tools and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
