The Civil Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing civil engineering aspects of construction projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
1. Project Management
- Lead civil engineering components of projects from initiation through completion, ensuring all timelines, budgets, and project requirements are met.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and methodologies, engaging key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure alignment and transparency.
2. Contractor and Consultant Coordination
- Manage and coordinate contractor and consultant activities, ensuring compliance with the defined scope of work and quality standards.
- Conduct regular meetings and on-site inspections to track construction progress, addressing and resolving issues as they arise.
3. Technical Oversight
- Review and approve all civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring alignment with project objectives and regulatory standards.
- Provide technical support to project teams and stakeholders, addressing challenges promptly to maintain project momentum.
4. Client Relations
- Act as the primary point of contact for the owner, representing their interests effectively with technical contractors and consultants.
- Prepare and present project updates and reports to the owner, detailing progress, encountered challenges, and any potential risks.
5. Budget Management
- Monitor and manage the project budget, track expenditures, and ensure adherence to financial guidelines throughout the project’s duration.
- Review and approve contractor invoices, verifying that all costs are justified and within the project’s budget scope.
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture design with onsite experience.15 to 20 years of experience in civil project management, preferably within the retail industry.Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and safety regulations.PMP Certifications is a plus.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with contractors, clients, and consultantsAbility to adapt to changing project demands and pressures in a fast-paced environment.
