Job purpose:
Support the Head of ORM in implementing the operational risk framework & related tools (incident analyses, action plans, KRI’s, RCSA etc..) to monitor & control the operational risk.
Key accountabilities:
- Analyze and assess the received incident and propose the appropriate mitigation & corrective actions
- Update, initiate Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA)process with the different departments as per ORM plan
- Develop several types of KRI’s: preventive, corrective, detective & directive in coordination with RCSA exercise & incidents database
- Alignment between RCSA exercise & Risk Control Matrix of the COSO exercise
- Prepare branches scorecard after each visit
- Assessment of operational risk in new/update products and outsourcing activities of the bank and reviews the new / updated documentation / procedures of the bank.
- Prepare the Operational Risk reports for CBE regulatory, MRCC & Board Risk Committee.
- Monitor operational risk losses in reconciliation with GL’s and incident data base
- Monitor the progress & ensure the implementation of the action plans/ corrective actions related to the incidents, KRI’s RCSA etc.
- Maintain the operational Risk System & ensure proper handling of data
- Handle ICAAP items related to Operational Risk Management.
- Monitors on a regular basis the Operational Risk exposures against tolerance levels.
- Provide awareness for the new hires and existing ABK-Egypt staff
- Review all other control departments’ reports on frequent basis (Audit, Fraud, Compliance and internal control).
Education & Experience:
- BA. Commerce/ Economics.
- 5-7 years in an operational risk experience.
- Adequate knowledge of credit risk, financial risk, market risk.
- Banking systems, corporate banking and consumer banking.
- Risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Basel Accord Implementation.
