Academic Manager
About the Role
As an Academic Manager, you will be directly responsible for the coaching, growth, and evaluation of the teachers under your supervision. The ideal candidate is an exceptional leader and manager, committed to developing talent and possessing a deep understanding of academic accuracy and effective instruction.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the board to identify academic priorities, set measurable goals, and monitor progress toward achieving these goals.
- Make strategic and intentional decisions grounded in data.
- Ensure teachers' professional development goals are achieved through direct and targeted coaching.
- Partner with the instructional leadership team to assess and address professional development needs with a tailored approach.
- Oversee the systems, practices, and cycles of assessment, ensuring data is consistently used to drive student performance.
- Work closely with the Human Resources Department to recruit and select new staff members.
Qualifications
- Outstanding content knowledge in teaching adults.
- 7+ years of teaching experience, preferably in training centers.
- Experience in coaching teachers or managing adults (required).
- Master’s Degree in Education (preferred).
- CELTA certification holder.
