Supplier Quality Engineering Officer

Responsible for ensuring that suppliers continue to develop and implement best practice that emphasize defect prevention.

 Provide support to the production lines on issues related to quality of raw material – Material out of specification, material with a poor performance in the line, etc.

 Coordinate corrective actions with suppliers and review their proposed plans (example - 8D’s, control plans, FMEA’s, process flow diagrams, etc.).

 Track supplier performance based on quality scores – supplier incidences and PPM’s.

 Support PPAP and APQP activities with new suppliers or new parts/processes from existing suppliers – Launch of new projects, re-sourcing activities, eSCR’s, etc.

 Report all activities and matters relating to supplier performance; Assess supplier qualifications including training and certifications.

 Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality; Perform root cause analysis, coordinate, and conduct specialized testing and measurement, and resolve problems.

 Follow the localization plan in collaboration with nominated local suppliers.

 Oversee investigations for complex parts claims.

 Collaborate with the Supplier & assembler quality teams to ensures that the quality standards are being met.

 Assist with the quality improvement activities within the different Production Departments.

 Audit supplier’s factories to check the manufacturing process and solve any quality issues.

 Assists with the implementation, development and evaluation of the tooling and samples manufacturing preparations.

 Work with engineers to develop and validate local part technical standards.


Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Industrial Engineering or any related field with 4 to 6 years’ experience

o Analytical with problem solving, strong communication skills to lead blue collar with the ability to form and maintain good relationships in a cross-functional environment.

o Very Good Working knowledge of MS Office – specially Excel & Access.

o Strong interpersonal, negotiation and good situational management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities & works well under pressure with results oriented.

o Good team player, self-motivated, assertive, resilient who welcomes change.

o SAP and WMS Knowledge is an advantage.
