Plumbing Design Engineer

Job Description:
As a Plumbing Design Engineer you will be responsible for the design of plumbing systems in various types of buildings and facilities. This role involves working closely with architects, mechanical engineers, and structural engineers to ensure that plumbing systems meet safety standards, regulations, and client needs. Plumbing Design Engineers play a crucial role in creating efficient and sustainable plumbing solutions for networks, residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

Responsibilities:

  1. Designing plumbing systems for water supply, drainage, and sewage in networks and buildings.
  2. Collaborating with architects and engineers to integrate plumbing systems into overall building and networks designs.
  3. Conducting calculations to determine pipe sizing, flow rates, and pressure requirements.
  4. Selecting plumbing materials, fixtures, and equipment based on project specifications.
  5. Creating detailed plumbing drawings, layouts, and specifications using design software.
  6. Ensuring compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.
  7. Reviewing and approving plumbing designs and documentation.
  8. Providing technical support during construction, testing, and commissioning phases.

Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering or related fieldExperience in plumbing system design and engineering.Proficiency in plumbing design software (WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, etc.).Proficiency in Revit is a plusKnowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and standards.Strong understanding of plumbing principles, materials, and equipment.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and collaboration abilities.Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with plumbing industry trends.
