Material Inspection:

  • Inspect incoming wood materials for quality, grade, and defects.
  • Ensure that all wood used in production meets company and industry standards.

Production Monitoring:

  • Supervise the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Check for proper use of machinery and correct assembly techniques during wood processing.
  • Identify any issues or defects during production and report them for correction.

Quality Control Testing:

  • Conduct tests on wood products to assess their durability, finish, and strength.
  • Monitor the moisture content and dimensional accuracy of wood products.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards in all wood processing operations.

Final Product Inspection:

  • Inspect the final products to ensure they meet design specifications and quality criteria.
  • Approve or reject products based on quality assessments.
  • Document findings and maintain quality records for review.

Process Improvement:

  • Provide feedback to the production team to improve processes and reduce defects.
  • Assist in implementing quality control systems to improve efficiency.

Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed reports of quality issues, corrective actions, and overall production quality.
  • Work closely with management to resolve quality-related issues.

Education: Diploma or degree in Wood Technology, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in quality control, preferably in wood manufacturing or woodworking.Knowledge of Wood: Understanding of different wood types, grading, and defects.Technical Skills: Mastery of measuring devices and related equipment.Attention to Detail: Ability to detect minor defects and ensure high-quality standards.Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve production issues efficiently.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting and teamwork.Compliance: Familiarity with safety and quality regulations in woodworking.
