This role emphasizes a hands-on approach to the technical management of smart water meters, focusing on proactive problem-solving and exceptional customer support. The Electromechanical Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of smart water metering systems while maintaining strong communication with stakeholders.
Responsibilities
Smart Water Meter Operations, including:
- Implementing and managing programs to oversee the installations, and maintenance activities for water meters.
- Investigating and resolving in-field operational issues to maintain efficient and reliable smart water meter performance.
- Addressing recurring in-field customer complaints relating to water meters, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Identifying and addressing errors related to installation, operation, and maintenance of water meters, implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Performance Monitoring, Evaluation and Problem Tracking:
- Regularly analyzing system data to assess metering system performance and enhance overall efficiency.
- Tracking and resolving issues related to water meters and communication units, ensuring timely solutions.
- Continuously monitor abnormal and recurring alerts from smart water meters, identifying and resolving potential issues as well as providing actionable recommendations to address customer needs and prevent recurring issues.
Technology Proposal Evaluation:
- Analyzing and assessing technological proposals for compliance with required standards and specifications.
Equipment Preservation:
- Contributing to initiatives aimed at preserving metering equipment and improving operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics .
- At least 2-3 years of experience.
- Understanding of database management (SQL, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with Data Analytics & Visualization, Machine Learning and AI tools such as Python is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
