QC Section Head

  • Quality Control Management:
    • Lead and manage the QC team to ensure consistent product quality.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control processes and standards.
    • Establish quality benchmarks and monitor production lines to ensure adherence.
  • Inspection and Testing:
    • Supervise and guide inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
    • Ensure accurate and timely testing and documentation to meet production schedules.
    • Troubleshoot issues with production quality and coordinate with production and engineering teams to resolve problems.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Standards:
    • Ensure that all QC activities comply with industry regulations, standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM, EN), and customer requirements.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Oversee the preparation and review of quality control reports, including non-conformance reports, corrective action reports, and test results.
    • Maintain proper documentation of all quality-related activities and ensure records are organized and accessible.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement in quality systems and processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and optimize QC processes.
    • Identify and implement best practices for quality control, ensuring the use of the latest testing techniques and technologies.
    • Train staff on new QC techniques, procedures, and updates to regulatory standards.
  • Supplier Quality Management:
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials.
    • Perform supplier audits and assessments, providing feedback to improve supplier quality performance.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to address quality issues and implement solutions.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure that quality standards are clearly communicated to suppliers.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Ensure QC processes and procedures adhere to health and safety regulations.
    • Promote a safe working environment for the QC team, enforcing proper use of safety equipment and protocols.

 


Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years’ experience in quality control, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, or Six Sigma.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Leadership and team management experience.Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
