IT Specialist - Google Workspace Migration and Administration

We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Specialist to play a key role in our migration to Google Workspace. This role will focus heavily on email migration and administration within the Google Workspace environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of email systems, experience with Google Workspace administration, and a proven track record of successful migrations.

Responsibilities:

  • Email Migration:
    • Plan and execute the migration of email data from our current email system (e.g., Microsoft Exchange) to Google Workspace.
    • Ensure minimal downtime and data loss during the migration process.
    • Troubleshoot email migration issues and provide support to users during and after the migration.
  • Email Administration:
    • Manage and administer Google Workspace email settings, including user accounts, groups, distribution lists, and aliases.
    • Configure email routing, spam filtering, and security policies.
    • Monitor email system health and performance.
    • Provide support to end-users on email-related issues.
  • Google Workspace Administration:
    • Assist with the overall administration of Google Workspace, including user management, access control, and security.
    • Implement and maintain Google Workspace best practices.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest Google Workspace features and updates.

Essential:Proven experience in email migration and administration.Strong understanding of email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP3).Hands-on experience with Google Workspace administration.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Desirable:Experience with Microsoft Exchange or other email systems.Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation.
