General Procurement Lead

Overview

The General Procurement Lead for non-productive items is responsible for overseeing the procurement process, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods and services necessary for the organization. This role involves strategic planning, negotiation, and collaboration with various departments to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute procurement plans to meet business needs.
  • Define category procurement strategies aligned with overall company goals.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and improved commercial leverage.
  • Track and report on procurement metrics to reduce expenses.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business needs.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
  • Maintain up-to-date procurement records, including purchase orders and contracts.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management roles.Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.Excellent organizational and time management skills.Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Relevant certifications such as CPSM or CIPS are advantageous.
