Position Overview
The Demand Planner Senior / Specialist has a critical role within the supply chain management team and is responsible for forecasting demand, optimizing inventory levels, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the supply chain. This position requires strong analytical skills, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the capacity to develop and maintain sophisticated forecasting models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using statistical models and business intelligence data.
- Analyze historical sales trends and market conditions to predict future demand.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, finance, and operations teams to refine forecast models and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Lead initiatives to enhance demand planning processes and improve forecast accuracy.
- Implement solutions to optimize inventory levels and reduce costs while maintaining high service levels.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to demand planning and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Coordinate with Procurement, sales, marketing, and operations to ensure effective communication of demand forecasts.
- Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings to align demand forecasts with supply chain strategies.
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree or MBA is preferred.A minimum of 5 years of experience in demand planning within FMCG is required, with experience in the food sector preferred.Proficiency in using demand planning software.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
