Key Responsibilities:
- Review, evaluate, and provide feedback on technical drawings and tender documents in mechanical disciplines, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Collaborate with architects, civil, and electrical engineers to deliver coordinated designs for mixed-use buildings (administrative, commercial, and medical).
- Conduct thorough reviews of contractor invoices, ensuring alignment with project progress and budgets.
- Oversee design and implementation of HVAC, firefighting, plumbing, and chiller station systems.
- Ensure systems are designed to meet energy efficiency standards and comply with relevant regulations.
- Analyze existing maintenance methods and introduce improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Perform regular visits to consultants’ offices to ensure designs are accurately executed and align with project goals.
- Participate in reviewing and evaluating technical submissions from contractors, and preparing detailed commentary reports for consultants and contractors.
- Conduct site visits to monitor the installation and progress of mechanical systems, ensuring the quality of work matches the design documents.
- Liaise with government bodies for compliance with amenities processes and regulatory approvals.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including contractors, consultants, and government officials.
- Present technical information and reports clearly and understandably to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:Education: BSc in Mechanical Engineering. MSc or PMP certification is a plus.Experience: 8- 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on power systems, preferably in consultancy and construction environments.Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, M.S Office, HAP, duct sizing, pipe sizing, Elite, and other relevant software.Language Skills: Excellent command of both written and spoken English.Soft Skills:Strong communication and negotiation abilities.Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
