The Manufacturing Excellence Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across food production facilities. This role combines technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles to optimize production processes and enhance overall performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance.
- Develop and execute strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.
- Coordinate and lead cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
- Set SMART targets for key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor progress towards these goals.
- Provide training and coaching to team members on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
- Conduct focused improvement projects and lead multi-functional teams to enhance operational performance.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and food safety requirements.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Drive cultural change towards operational excellence and foster a continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Food Science, or a related field.7-10 years of experience in manufacturing operations in FMCG industry, preferably in the food. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement techniques.Excellent leadership and team management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in data analysis and performance measurement tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.Experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
