Senior Technical office Engineer (Architect)

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and Review Shop Drawings: Create detailed shop drawings for structural, architectural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) components. Review and approve shop drawings submitted by subcontractors to ensure they meet project specifications and standards.

• Coordinate with Design and Construction Teams: Work closely with architects, engineers, and construction managers to resolve design discrepancies and ensure shop drawings are feasible and constructible.

• Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks on all shop drawings to ensure they are accurate, complete, and adhere to industry standards and project requirements.

• Documentation: Maintain organized records of all shop drawings, revisions, and approvals. Ensure documentation is accurately updated and accessible for project stakeholders.

• Compliance: Ensure all shop drawings comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and standards. Address any potential compliance issues promptly.

• Client Communication: Engage with clients as needed to clarify design intent and address concerns related to shop drawings and project documentation.

• Technical Support: Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during project execution, ensuring shop drawings are accurately implemented on-site.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design and drafting software.

• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in creating and reviewing technical drawings.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to address design and construction challenges proactively.

• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in creating and reviewing shop drawings for construction projects, preferably within a construction company or architectural firm.
