Tasks:
Students
1. Help students to understand the Lesson Objectives and Learning Outcomes.
2. Help to differentiate the Learning outcomes (success criteria) and adapt work to ensure that all students are presented with an appropriate level of challenge.
3. Communicate assessment criteria to students so that they understand what is required and they are more engaged as a result.
4. Discuss performance targets with students regularly.
5. Make clear how the learning from the lesson links with other areas of the course and with other subjects of situations.
6. Motivate and empower students to work independently, assess the success of their own and others’ work and to set their own targets.
7. Adjust the pace and timing of activities to make them more stimulating and challenging to aid learning and understanding.
8. Assist students to develop resilience when tackling challenging activities.
9. Encourage and reward good behaviour and good levels of concentration.
Teacher
10. Develop a good working relationship with the classroom teacher
11. Take direction so that the learning of specific individuals and groups of students is enhanced.
12. Discuss planning with the teacher to ensure a full understanding of the objectives.
13. Make sure that students are engaged in a learning activity as soon as they enter the room .
14. Prepare equipment before the start of the lesson of following set routines.
15. Where homework tasks are set, enhance student’s understanding of what is required
16. Create displays using children’s work and ensure they are interactive and a learning tool.
