Technical Office Engineer (Water & Wastewater Treatment)

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented "Technical Office Engineer" to join our team in a leading EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) company specializing in water and wastewater treatment projects. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the technical accuracy, coordination, and execution of engineering designs, project documentation, and construction processes. 

The Technical Office Engineer will work closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement teams, and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project workflows, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with industry standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Support: Provide technical support and guidance during the design, construction, and commissioning phases of water and wastewater treatment projects.


- Design, Review & Coordination: Review and interpret engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and alignment with project requirements.


- Project Documentation: Prepare, update, and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, material submittals, method statements, and shop drawings.


- Technical Submittals: Review and submit technical documents such as equipment specifications, materials, and method statements for client approval.


- Coordination: Liaise between the design team, site engineers, procurement teams, and clients to resolve technical issues and ensure project deadlines are met.


- Quality Assurance: Ensure that engineering standards, codes, and regulations are adhered to during all project phases.


- Procurement Support: Assist the procurement team in evaluating and selecting equipment and materials, ensuring that they meet the project’s technical requirements.


- Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports on technical deliverables, design reviews, and project milestones to project managers and stakeholders.


- Site Visits: Conduct site visits to monitor progress, inspect installations, and ensure compliance with design specifications and industry best practices.


- Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related discipline.- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Technical Office Engineer in water and wastewater treatment projects, preferably within an EPC environment.- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, systems, and equipment.- Software Skills:* Proficiency in AutoCAD, AutoCAD 3D, MS Office, and other engineering software. Experience with SolidWorks is a plus.- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant standards, codes, and regulations (such as ASME, ASTM, ISO, etc.) related to water and wastewater treatment.- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, contractors, and internal teams.- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and propose effective solutions.- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, particularly in reviewing engineering designs, specifications, and technical documents.- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.- Residency: Applicant must be a resident in Alexandria.Preferred Qualifications:- Experience in large-scale EPC projects related to water and wastewater treatment.- Familiarity with project management principles and software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).- Certifications such as PMP, or other industry-related certifications are a plus. If you are a dedicated engineer with a passion for water and wastewater treatment projects, we encourage you to apply and become a part of our innovative team.
