- Supervises the day-to-day operations of purchasing department to ensure that work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes and procedures
- Identifies cost reduction projects, including periodic updates for management and follow up it
- Review purchasing Team daily reports to control daily process, solve problems immediately and evaluate daily staff performance.
- Negotiates annual, semi-annual and quarterly contracts for material pricing based on cost objectives, market conditions and cost models.
- Build and improve positive relationships with key suppliers to achieve maximum cost savings, optimal performance and quality standards used in purchasing for short and long- term objectives
- Manage and maintain vendors’ relationships and assist in building effective partnerships.
- Review and release quarterly supplier evaluation and supplier audit plan to improve supplier performance.
- Analyse the stock movement to make sure to maintain the level of inventory in accordance with the agreed stock level.
- Develop, lead and execute purchasing strategies
- Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power
- Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
- Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand
Bachelor’s degree in business administration Preferred / Finance 12-15 years relevant experience in purchasing including at least 5 years in positions of progressively increasing managerial responsibilities Preferred Experience FMCG.
